Colin Dodgson was born and raised in California, outside of Los Angeles. He attended Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara. While in school he assisted various photographers including Jeff Bark, Steven Lippman, and Tom Munro. In 2006 he moved to New York and received the 9th Annual Surface Magazine Avant Guardian Award. He currently lives and works in Manhattan.
